Production of the first season of Scribes & Songsters has wrapped up. And I am happy to announce that funding has been secured to allow us to move into a second season of filming.
After some well deserved down time, Season 3 taping of the Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions has begun. We hope to stretch our limits by bringing you new and different types of talent from Far and near this season. First up, a 5 piece "old style" band, Onion Honey.
A restructuring of the Sun Parlour Session website along with an expanded presence on YouTube will help us bring more content to our viewers.
Several new projects are in the planning stages, unfortunately not much can be said at this time about most of them.
We will be heading to Windsor to film the Blue Bayou Tribute Band's next performance in March. If you're in the area come out for some great music, March 16th at the Old Walkerville Theatre.
A new YouTube channel has been launched for Dale's Friday Coffee House. Dale will be bringing you "featured artists" and special performances here.
A tremendous compilation double cd is being produced by Quantum Sound in hopes of raising awareness and money for the Bank Theatre renovation project. The cds should be available in the second week of February and can be purchased at Dale's Friday Coffee House, local Leamington and Kingsville eateries and merchants, the Bank Theatre website and many of the featured artists.

That's it for another update. Keep an eye on this website and all of our associated websites, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter feeds.
Our new production, Scribes & Songsters, has launched on YOUR TV Windsor, formerly Cogeco TV Windsor. And by all reports is doing very well. Special thanks to Producer Brian Sweet and host Veronique Mandal, and to all our great guests! For all those who do not have Cogeco Cable check our episodes out on our YouTube Channel.
We continue to record the Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions season 2. By the end of November we will have 18+ episodes recorded. Our first episode of the season has also aired on YOUR TV Sept. 18th with Jodi Raffoul. Great performance!
Many other projects in the works. Keep an eye on our "Current Projects" page for many of the videos being released. There's a great little promo video there for Dalbello Guitars featuring Dale Butler. Take a look!
Lots of good thing coming. Stay tuned!
Summer is here and the projects keep on coming!
Our most recent serial project will be making it's debut on Windsor and Leamington's Cogeco community channel this fall.
Titled "Scribes & Songsters", this show features long time area journalist Veronique Mandal as host, interviewing Windsor/Essex area authors with special musical guests. This show will give the viewer an inside look at the local writing sceen.
The Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions keeps rolling along now in its second season of taping. With 11 episodes recorded and ready for the season debut in September there are many great guests on-board. This season has a much more national feel with guests from across Canada along with some local favorites.
Just wrapping up a promo project with local musicians Mary Newland, Richard Baker and the Blue Bayou Band. After 2 sold out shows at The Bank Theatre in Leamington they are poised to take their amazing Linda Ronstadt tribute show on the road. Hopefully the promo video we have created will help them have that opportunity.
We were also proud to have created a video for Kari Lynn and Roger Hewett from their standing room only show at Leamington's Bank Theatre. Although not available to the public it will be a great keep sake of that amazing and fun filled evening of entertainment.
Dale's Friday Coffee House will be missing from Cogeco's fall schedule as it will be on a one year hiatus from TV. The Coffee House itself will still be held in Leamington but the Bank Theatre will be closed for renovations so check the Bank Theatre's website for times and location.
That's it for now. Have a great Summer!!
The Quantum Sound Team.
Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions
Five Sessions recorded for season 2 so far and at least 6 more in the schedule!
It looks like we are trying for 20 shows in season 2 with some of them being web only material.
Also lots of ideas for the "Gear Talk" webisodes. Dale and I will be heading out next month to shoot in and around Essex County and Windsor.
A YouTube Channel has been launched as a sister to the Vimeo channel.
Dales Friday Coffee House
In reruns right now on Cogeco but we will have new material playing in mid April.
Come out to a taping in Leamington at the Bank Theatre. Check the schedule on their website.
Check out any of the websites to these shows, performers and locals.
Been very busy since the holidays with continuing and new projects.
Season 2 taping of The Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions has begun with some great guest performers. Jody Raffoul, Andrew Taves, Max Marshall and Peter Light to mention just a few.
Dale's Friday Coffee House taping continues and we had a standing room only January show with some great performances so we should have no problem getting a couple of tv shows out of that. We are in reruns right now on Cogeco but should have new material airing in late March or early April through to the summer time.
And a new project is in early stages! Test taping and a concept short show edited for review by the producers. It looks good and we should be in production in mid March for airing on the Cogeco Community channel in Sept. 2017. It is untitled at the moment but when more info is available I'll let you know. It is essentially an interview show but there will be some great guests with notoriety across Canada.
That's it for now........
Sorry for not updating for a while! Been very busy with our projects and it's great to see that our work is not going un-noticed.
The Sun Parlour Sessions website is up and running!!!!!
Many thanks to Susan and Jan for their efforts in this area.
Welcome to Michelle Fortier to our team! Michelle has joined us to help promote the "Sessions" show. Michelle is an experienced publisist and runs her own business doing just that for many people in the music industry.
The "Sessions" shows seem to have a buzz around them and gathering a bit of a following.
Our team is hard at work making plans for season two as we wrap up our first season with episode 13, a sort of "best of season one" show, hosted by the entire team.
The next episode staring Crissi Chchrane will premiere on the Cogeco community channels December 19th at 10 pm. This is one episode you don't want to miss.
We continue to record Dale's Friday Coffee House and show that on the Cogeco channel also.
Also working on an off shoot featurette from the "Sessions" show. "Gear Talk"
These short episodes feature Dale Butler interviewing performers about their instruments and we have plans of doing reviews of new and vintage eqipment in our local music retail establisments. Look for this on the Sun Parlour Sessions website.
Stay tune for more great things to come!!!!
We're already starting to wind down our first season of The Sun Parlour Coffee House Sessions. It's been great fun and a great experience with some wonderful and talented singers and song writers!!
We've recorded 11 sessions and only have one more performance to capture in the next couple of weeks. And then our final episode will either be a "behind the scenes" type of show or possibly one were the crew gets a chance to pick their favorite performances this season. Or both?
Our website should be launching in the next couple of weeks and we have many exciting things planned for it. (sunparloursessions.com)
In the mean time we are still hard at work recording Dale's Friday Coffee House, and getting those shows ready for Cogeco.
Don forget to come out to a Friday Coffee House in Leamington at the Bank Theatre. And tune in to the Cogeco community channel for our shows. (You can find show times on this site.)
